Who knows futility?

Learned a new lesson today.

When trying to clear junk out of the basement, always do it incognito.

Otherwise, other family members will rummage through the junk and keep useless things around. If they don’t know about it, no fuss, no stress added. Another solution is to give up completely… I am leaning towards this alternative after what transpired today.

The Sakura is blooming

You know when Spring has arrived in Japan when:

All your emails from Japan start with “Hi Billy, the Sakura trees are blooming beautifully in Japan. Wish you were here.” Followed by attached pictures of the said blooming trees.

Contrasting to Waterloo, at -6 degrees celsuis with flurries. I am living in a winter wasteland frantically studying for final exams while my Japanese counterparts are enjoying the warm weather. Am I jealous? You bet I am.

Here are some pictures courtesy of my Japanese tutor, Kunimoto-san:

And the term is about to go…

Exams are coming up! The last week or so was rough with those final deliverables coming up… so, here are some things on the queue for April:

- take down 5 exams next week
- move my stuff from my apartment to storage
- do non-academic stuff for two and a half weeks
- update resume for Spring co-op
- move my stuff from storage to my new apartment
- continue on with my 4A term in May

Believe me, I am tired… I usually get some reprieve with co-op but since I had such a fun time in Japan for 8 months, I guess some grunt work is in order.
