Hey look! It’s been a year!

I can’t believe one year has passed. One year since I made the first post in Japan.

The things that I learned in the last year are immeasurable. Technical and soft skills wise, I’ve changed in the way I perceive and solve problems.

Here I am looking for another internship position for this Fall. I am really hoping that I will get a position that could match last year.

What have I been up to?

I’ve been bogged down with my computer graphics course lately. Over the past week, I’ve spent a good number of hours putting together 3D tetris. Here’s a picture of the results. Once I figure out how to take a movie capture of my desktop, I’ll post a video of the various features I’ve implemented.

Ubuntu Feisty Fawn installed.

Ok. I have A0 compiling and working properly on my laptop. Thanks to a new hard drive, I can now develop in full Linux fidelity.

Cygwin isn’t cooperating.

Yuck. Getting OpenGL stuff to compile on Cygwin is definitely difficult to do. I’ve spent an afternoon downloading the latest libraries but it seems like all the libraries must be updated. More stuff later.
